Our school is committed to catering for the diverse learning needs of non-Chinese-speaking students by providing appropriate support according to their Chinese proficiency and learning progress. Students may receive pull-out instruction during selected Chinese Language lessons, where small-group and targeted teaching helps them develop their Chinese language skills progressively. After-school Chinese language support and a Chinese Reading Buddy Program are also provided to strengthen students' reading, writing and everyday communication skills with guidance from teachers and peers. In response to their language backgrounds and further-study needs, non-Chinese-speaking students may take the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) Chinese examination. Depending on individual circumstances, they may also be exempted from examinations in Chinese History and Putonghua, enabling them to adapt gradually to the local curriculum, build confidence and realize their potential.
